This article says that this device knows when there is a teen driver behind the wheel.Also, it says "DriveMode do block texts when sensing a phone is moving above 10 mph or 25 mph, respectively". Furthermore it states that parents can limit the cars speed and the volume of the music. Overall, I think this is a necessary addition to teen drivers cars because it allows parents to be involved with what their children are doing without being there all the time.
